Everything you need to know about the Apple presentation in 90 secs
Tuesday’s Apple presentation was eventful to say the least. Dogged by technical difficulties (not a sign of things to come we hope?) it involved the anticipated showcasing of the iPhone 6 and the iWat… sorry… ‘Apple Watch’. It went on for hours, so for your convenience here’s everything you need to know in 90 seconds.

Nick Cave wants to immortalize your useless s**t
In an ‘internet will eat itself’ kinda way, singer and all-round hero, Nick Cave, has set up an online platform where you can submit photos of your favorite useless sentimental trinkets. With the aptly called ‘The Museum of Useless S**t, Cave hopes to build a massive digital archive of peoples favorite pointless keepsakes and memory aids.

Rise of the Smart Home
We’ve all heard of the ‘Internet of Things’. It’s a nebulous buzz phrase used to describe any physical object with a network presence. Ooh! Bitchy!
One of the best things about Apple’s global announcements is the ammunition it gives their rivals to use in their marketing. Samsung immediately jumped on it with a series of catty ads that really stuck the boot in because lolz.

The workplace is evolving… fast!
We’ve recently started working 100% remotely (have we mentioned that before? Not sure we have…) and we’re not alone. The ways businesses work, structure hierarchy and employ staff are changing rapidly. It’s a brilliant thing and here’s an equally brill piece on the evolution of the modern workplace to get you thinking.

Playing it by ear
Sound is an oft overlooked medium when it comes to web design. I blame Flash sites with extended intros from the late 90’s/early 00’s. They put everyone off sound on websites for good! Nowadays though, sound can be used in interesting ways to compliment visual aesthetics. Here’s a list of resources that use sound in cool, innovative ways. Enjoy.

GGA’s website of the week
Here’s one for the morbid amongst you: a Google Earth-based experiment that allows you to discover the effect different size asteroids would have on the planet based on their point of impact. I guarantee you’ll try it on your home address…

… and finally.
Easily the funniest reaction to this weeks Apple announcement says what we’ve all been thinking. Don’t call it an iWatch!
